Draka Derby – Factory Closure

The Draka factory at Derby is due to close by the end of 2012 with a loss of over 200 jobs. 

Previously called Delta, the site has been manufacturing cable since the 1930s. Prysmian, who acquired Draka in February 2011, will continue manufacturing at its five other sites in the UK, and will continue to supply high quality British manufactured cable.
