Following the success of the Shoal Group Apprenticeship programs, we are pleased to announce that Lewis Grant (FS Cables Customer Service) and Harriet Riches (Cablecraft Customer Service) have joined a Business Administration apprenticeship scheme with us.
Our apprenticeship schemes offer opportunities to college or university leavers looking to start their careers with us or to our existing staff looking to build their knowledge and gain professional qualifications whilst remaining in work as they learn. Our apprentices have acquired recognised qualifications in fields such as sales, procurement, customer service, finance, and operations, whilst crucially gaining on-the-job experience within our business throughout their studies. We work closely with apprenticeship providers to ensure the quality of teaching and support our employees receive is the best it can be.
In addition to the two about to start their apprenticeship journey, a further ten members of staff are currently on apprenticeship schemes working towards their qualifications including Leadership and Management, Procurement & Supply Chain, Sales Executive, and Data Analysis. We support employees through all levels of apprenticeship according to their experience and knowledge, from Level 3 for new employees looking to start their careers through to Level 7 for senior managers.
In 2020 we had three of our apprentices successfully complete their qualifications with us in sales, business administration and procurement. All of whom have continued to succeed in their roles at Shoal Group; taking on more responsibility and developing as successful professionals within their fields.
Mark Taylor, Shoal Group MD commented “Shoal Group are keen to bring on board and support talented young people to help develop their careers in wide ranging areas of our business, these opportunities are extended to more established team members in preparation for their next step career progressions where we remain keen to promote from within as the Group continues its growth journey”.
