Are you a skilled administrator and looking for a new opportunity in 2020?
We are looking for a committed and hardworking individual wanting to join a small but growing export sales team to act as sales administration support and customer service.
What will the role involve?
Working in a team of three, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the export sales team who are targeted and focused on delivering results. You will from time to time also support the UK sales team in order processing as and when required.
Your main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Communicating with UK and overseas suppliers
- Processing purchase orders and managing the supply chain
- Negotiating with suppliers and coordinating imports
- Carrying out weekly exchange rates and daily stock shortfall reports
- Maintaining clear records and order information on our internal computer system
- Sending pro forma invoices and tracking payments
- Dealing with international customer queries and order despatches
- Organising and coordinating collections and deliveries within the UK and overseas
- Preparing import and export documentation
- Providing general administration support to the sales team and the UK Customer Service department, including answering the phone, dealing with emails and post, liaising with other departments to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time
What would make you a great candidate for this role?
- Experience in a sales administration and/or customer service role (ideally 1yr+)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook), experience using databases/CRM systems would be beneficial
- Experience providing customer support and handling objections
- Self-motivated and assertive communication skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, numerical skills and a great eye for detail
- Logical, common sense approach to problem-solving
- A team player who is proactive and crucially has a can-do attitude with a drive to succeed
- Previous purchasing administration experience would be advantageous
